Next week, The Whole Learning School (TWLS) will be hosting the Possible Dreams fundraising luncheon where guests will get a glimpse at how students at the school learn and grow. Attendees can expect to be moved when graduating senior, Nicole Gallant, from the school hits the podium to share what a difference TWLS has made in her life.
Many students at the school have had struggles with learning. Since the school opened in the fall of 2003, staff there have been finding ways to help students achieve their best through the use of small classroom size, individual attention, and individualized instruction. Curriculum includes not only core academics, but also arts, social skills, practical skills, and therapeutic exercises. All of their work is to help their students become more self reliant and independent. The school is a safe, supportive environment where each child can reach for their own successes.
This luncheon will be a chance to see some of those successes already achieved at TWLS and see what other "possible dreams" lie ahead. It will take place on April 26 at the Golden Valley Country Club. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the luncheon will start promptly at noon and run until 1:00 p.m. Thanks to sponsors for the event, there is no charge to attend, though donations will be gratefully accepted. You can register and/or make a donation online or by calling Julie Hoff at 763.231.2700 if you would like to do more.
