Students attempt to rebel against the war in Nazi Germany by sending out The White Rose, which is running at U of L this week.
The White Rose will continue from Feb. 28-Mar. 3 at 8 p.m. each night. A matinee show will go on Mar. 3 at 3 p.m. All shows will take place in the Thrust Theatre, located on U of L's campus at 2314 South Floyd Street (same intersection as the McDonalds)..
Tickets for each show are $15 for adults, $10 for students, and $10 for senior citizens. All tickets may be purchased at the door or the U of L box office. More information on tickets can be found at the U of L theatre arts website.
The White Rose depicts 1942 Nazi Germany and the University of Munich students opposed to the regime and the war. Spreading their anonymous leaflets around Germany and Austria - the leaflets are titled "The White Rose" - the students hope to gain supporters in resisting the war. The drama puts conscience and youthful ideas against Hitler's regime.
