Fan of the Robert Jordan series "The Wheel of Time" were anticipating the release of the 14th and final novel of the series "A Memory of Light," which was finally released January 8, 2013. However, with changing technology and some readers' preference to read using an electronic book reader, these fans were outraged to find out that the e-book version of "A Memory of Light" wouldn't be released until April 9, 2013.
Currently, Amazon does not have a listing for the e-book of "A Memory of Light." There is only a listing for the hardcover edition of the book. The hardcover book however has over one-hundred one star reviews, most of which are angry potential customers who want the e-book instead of the hardcover. Even so, those who have bought and purchased the book have only rated it around three stars. This may change later as the e-book is released and more customers and fans can get their hands on the book.
The publishing company for "The Wheel of Time," Tor Books, a subsidiary of Macmillian, has not yet posted a response to the outrage felt by the fans. Perhaps they will change their mind about the publishing of the e-book to make the customers happier. Time will tell.
