The wheel keeps on rolling for spiritualism in Columbus

As of March 11, 2014, these are some of the spiritual events scheduled for the next few weeks in and around Columbus, OH. New events include the SNAP group that is doing benefit performances to support non-profit groups in central Ohio. Don’t forget David Stringer on March 14 and Dr. Marc Heeg on March 22. Both are at the Christian Spiritualist Temple.

March 14, 2014 David Stringer Kirtan with Sheela Bringi

Yoga on High is sponsoring a kirtan by the highly regarded David Stringer group. The venue is the Christian Spiritualist Temple located at 77 S. Sixth Street, Columbus, OH 43215. The kirtan will run from 8:00 to 10:30 p.m. Advanced tickets are $29.00 by March 13th. $35 is the ticket price at the door. Parking is in the two lots on the west side of the church. Sheela will lead off the night with selections from her debut album, Incantations. Dave will be performing this in combination with Sheela Bringi. Dave will perform kirtan from his new album, Ojas. This is a must see event, and one of many scheduled by Yoga on High.

March 16, 2014 Beginning to intermediate drum class led by Wahru Cleveland at the Maynard Ave. Methodist Church, 2350 Indianola Ave., Columbus, OH. Class starts at 2:00 p.m. at a cost of $10 for the lesson. Open drumming at 4:00 p.m. Donation asked to help pay for space.

March 22, 2014 - Sacred Music of Spring by Dr. Marc Heeg
At the time of the spring equinox, Dr. Heeg will perform classical music at the Christian Spiritualist Temple. Dr. Heeg has performed classical music recitals around the world. This concert will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Suggested donation is $10 to $20. You can be aware of other Community Events on the church website. Selections will include Mozart, Debussy, other classical composers, and original works by Dr. Heeg.

March 27, 2014 - An Introduction to Homeopathy by Ellen Bench at 6:30 p.m.
This event is jointly sponsored with Dr. Qunilin MD of the Winchester Medical and Health Clinic. The location is the Wagnells Memorial at 150 E. Columbus Street, Lithopolis, OH 43136. March 30, 2014 has a book launch party at the Columbus Mennonite Church on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The book is titled Belief Without Boundaries; Inside the Minds of the Spiritual but not the Religious. There will be a presentation on the book by Rev. Linda Mercadante, PhD. A raffle, refreshments, and a performance by the Victory Drummers will be provided. March 30, 2014 Laugh Out Loud healing class is being offered by Shaman Iggy Garcia at Mystic Nirvana at 2:00 p.m. Mystic Nirvana is located at 80 S. Liberty Street, Powell, OH 43065. The suggested donation is $30 for the two to three hour session that starts at 2:00 p.m. Iggy can help you release your emotions through laughter, drumming and your own high energy.

April 6, 2014 1st Saturday spiritual forum happens at the Christian Spiritualist Temple at 77 S. Sixth Street, Columbus, OH 43215 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. $20 is the admission price for two or more readings, energy healing such as Reiki, massage or reflexology, and lunch. There is a discount coupon at the church website that provides admission of two people for $30.

April 6, 2014 1st Saturday In Spirit Ministries chanting is held at the First Unitarian Universalist Church at 93 W. Weisheimer Road, Columbus, OH 43214 at 5:00 p.m. This is a group of talented musicians that provide uplifting music at each concert. A love offering is collected to defer expenses, and your contribution is greatly appreciated.

SNAP is an all-volunteer cast of singers, dancers & performers who use their talents to improve Columbus, “The Façade” – is going to blow your mind!
