According to Miami DDA website, Important American & international galleries, collectors and curators gather in exciting downtown Miami, January 18-21, 2013 for the 4thedition of MIA, America's most exciting mid-winter contemporary art fair aboard SeaFair - America's Megayacht Venue.

MIA features contemporary art of all media, including photography, installations and video. The fair also integrates innovative educational art projects to important museums and other art-related organizations. An array of vibrant social activities attract collectors from throughout the US, Latin America and Europe.

The contemporary fair will gather a carefully selected array of 30 international dealers presenting both established contemporary and emerging artists. Works will be composed of contemporary, cutting-edge art of all media including photography, painting, mixed-media, sculpture, jewelry, installation and video. The mission of the fair is to showcase galleries representing the most talented and visionary artists of the 21st century.

As per the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing arts’ site, these performances are just a taste of a full-season lineup that will include many more presentations, including jazz from around the world; theater works both intimate and spectacular; shows for children and their families; the latest in contemporary dance; experimental multimedia shows and beloved classics; popular entertainment spanning top-selling recording stars, acclaimed cabaret artists, favorite comedians, and much more.

Matisyahu brings his acoustic show to the Adrienne Arsht Center following his sold-out performance in 2011 that received rave reviews describing Matisyahu's voice and stage presence as "tremendous, zen-like, and enlightening." Matisyahu returns with local guitarist and longtime friend Adam Weinberg for another special acoustic evening featuring a full performance of songs from his entire repertoire including his latest release, "Spark Seeker", which debuted at #19 on the Billboard Top 200. The evening will also feature a question-and-answer session with the audience, bringing a closeness to the artist-fan relationship. Matisyahu began performing these stripped down acoustic shows in early 2009, giving fans a more intimate and personal experience while simultaneously showcasing the simple statement of his songs, incredible vocal range, and beat box talents.

The Miami Symphony Orchestra brings Vienna to Miami with a twist of Overtures, Waltzes & Dances!

FREE COMMUNITY CELEBRATION & LIVE TELEVISION SIMULCAST OF THE PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION

As Americans descend upon Washington D.C. for the second term inauguration of President Barack Obama, South Floridians will once again gather at the Adrienne Arsht Center for a special Community Celebration and Live Television Simulcast of the Inauguration. The event will feature the live simulcast of the swearing in of the President and the inaugural address. There will also be the on-site presentation of the colors by South Florida’s own Homestead Senior High School Air Force JROTC Color Guard, live musical performance by the New World School of the Arts Concert Choir with guest soloist Bianca Sirgany-Castro, the winner of the Sparkle singing challenge.
