It’s Mother’s Day weekend. Does your mother like to write? Take her to one of the events on this weekend’s calendar.

May 10, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – The Carroll County chapter of the Maryland Writers’ Association gathers for their monthly meeting. They’ll meet at the Westminster Branch of the Carroll County Public Library. Katherine Pickett, editor and owner of POP Editorial Services, is the featured speaker. Chapter meetings are open to the public and are free to MWA members and first-time guests. Returning non-members will be asked to pay $5.

May 10, 11:00 a.m. – Join the Eastern Shore Writers Association (ESWA) for their May meeting. Members John Ford and John Miller will present “Literature and Medicine”. This month’s location is Vinny's La Roma Restaurant (934 S. Salisbury Blvd, Salisbury, MD 21801). A more detailed description of the program and meeting information is posted on the ESWA website.
