On Monday, February 26th The Culinary Institute of America will play host to the Sixth Annual Vintners Hall of Fame Induction Celebration. The celebration will take place in the historic Barrel Room of their Greystone facility. This event will feature a extraordinary Wine and Hors d’Oueuvre Reception prior to the Induction Ceremony, then proceed to a exceptional celebrity chef Walk-Around-Dinner. The proceeds will benefit the Vintners Hall of Fame scholarship fund for Professional Wine Studies.
The CIA is housed in the historic Greystone building, originally built in 1888 to house the Christian Brothers Winery. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places. From 1950 until 1989 the Christian Brothers used the castle like facility for the production of sparkling wines.
This castle-like stone building, nestled against the western hills of the Napa Valley, looks out across some of the most fertile agricultural lands in California, lands that have for generations nurtured some of the world’s finest vines.
