No matter what day of the week it is, San Francisco always has something fun and creative to offer. The City by the Bay is a great place for active young adults to enjoy weekend-style activities, every day of the week. Whether you like to hit the movies on a Tuesday, a concert on Wednesday, or a special art show on Thursday, you’ll always find something to do in San Francisco. San Francisco has numerous online resources detailing activities everyday of the week: FunCheap SF, 7X7, and SFist. Make plans and explore the best city—even on a school night. Sitting on the couch is not an option!

Monday

Start the week off with a conspiracy theory book reading at The Booksmith in the Haight. Author Mark Zepezauer will discuss his book, The CIA’s Greatest Hits, for everyone who enjoys a good conspiracy. Learn how the CIA has been involved in drug trafficking, assassinations, bombings, and rigging elections all over the world. This event will get you thinking and get you out of the house on a Monday night. www.booksmith.com/events

Tuesday

Hit up the famous Top of the Mark in the Mark Hopkins Hotel in Nob Hill for their weekly wine and a movie event. The free wine tasting begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by a free classic movie screening. This week’s event features tastings of Wild Horse chardonnay and pinot noir with a screening of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. Bring a date and impress her with your movie and wine tasting knowledge—all for free. www.intercontinentalmarkhopkins.com

Wednesday

Dancin’ in the Square adds a little swing to your step this Wednesday with a live band and free swing lessons in Union Square. This week features the great local band Slim Jenkins rocking from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. This all ages show is a great way to get the kids involved in a little mid-week outing as well. www.unionsquarelive.org

Thursday

If you believe you were a pirate in a past life, than this event is perfect for you. Catch a screening of the Pirates of the Caribbean aboard the historic three-masted schooner, Balcluta, docked in the San Francisco Bay. This sea-worthy event asks for a donation of only $5-15 per screening. Come out early and reserve your seat as this event is quite popular. www.maritime.org
