The Week Ahead proves the best things in life are free (or close to it)

As part of its free First Monday concert series, The Chicago Chamber Musicians present its woodwind ensemble members Larry Combs, clarinet; Dennis Michel, bassoon; and CCM Artistic Co-Director Meng-Chieh Liu, piano on Monday, February 6 performing pieces by Francis Poulenc and Roberto Sierra from 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm at the Chicago Cultural Center’s Preston Bradley Hall on 78 East Washington Street. Attorney Cara Dehnert Huffman, executive director of I Am Logan Square, will explain, will explain the basics of copyright law in layman's terms, and participate in an open Q & A session on February 7 at 7:00 pm. Huffman has worked with Lawyers for the Creative Arts, the Illinois Arts Council, and teaches Writing for Managers and Entertainment Law courses in the Arts, Entertainment and Media Management Department at Columbia College Chicago. On Wednesday, February 8, the Off-Air Series offers So Many Ways to Tell a Story! at the Chicago Children’s Museum on 700 East Grand Avenue.
