An Oscar-winning tale of a teenage boy stranded on a boat with a Bengal tiger, an animated film about childhood-story stars as superheroes, and a drama about the making of Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" are three of the movies that premiere on demand from March 11 to March 17, 2013. (Check with your cable or satellite provider for a lineup of on-demand channels on your system.)

March 12, 2013: "Life of Pi" (Same day as DVD, weeks before Netflix and Redbox releases) Rated PG.
Oscar-winning director Ang Lee creates a groundbreaking movie event about a young man named Pi (played by Suraj Sharma) who survives a disaster at sea and is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While cast away, he forms an amazing and unexpected connection with another survivor: a fearsome Bengal tiger. "Life of Pi" won four Oscars: Best Director, Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography and Best Original Score.

March 12, 2013: "Rise of the Guardians" (Same day as DVD; available in 3-D) Rated PG.
"Rise of the Guardians" is an epic adventure that tells the story of a group of heroes (including Nicholas St. North also known as Santa Claus, Jack Frost, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, the Sandman), each with extraordinary abilities. When an evil spirit known as Pitch (voiced by Jude Law) lays down the gauntlet to take over the world, the immortal Guardians must join forces for the first time to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children all over the world. Other voice actors in the film include Alec Baldwin as Santa Claus, Chris Pine as Jack Frost, Hugh Jackman as the Easter Bunny and Isla Fisher as the Tooth Fairy.

March 12, 2013: "Hitchcock" (Same day as DVD) Rated PG-13.
"Hitchcock" is a drama that takes place during the making of Alfred Hitchcock's seminal 1960 movie "Psycho." "Hitchcock" is also a love story about Hitchcock (played by Anthony Hopkins), and his wife and partner, Alma Reville (played by Helen Mirren). The other stars of "Hitchcock" are Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh, James D'Arcy as Anthony Perkins and Jessica Biel as Vera Miles.

March 12, 2013: "Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away" (Same day as DVD; available in 3-D) Rated PG.
In the 3-D adventure "Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away," two young people (played by Igor Zaripov and Erica Kathleen Linz) journey through the astonishing and dreamlike worlds of Cirque du Soleil to find each other as audiences experience the immersive 3-D technology that allows them to leap, soar, swim and dance with the performers. Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Aaron Paul star in this drama about Kate and Charlie Hannah, an alcoholic married couple whose relationship drastically changes when she decides to get sober. Nick Offerman and Octavia Spencer have supporting roles as people in Kate's life who help her in her journey to sobriety.

March 12, 2013: "Somebody Up There Likes Me" (Four days after theatrical release) Rated TV-MA.
“Somebody Up There Likes Me” is a comedy that skips through 35 years in the life of Max Youngerman (Keith Poulson), his best and only friend Sal (played by Nick Offerman, who is one of the film’s producers) and the woman they both adore (played by Jess Weixler). As they stumble in and out of misguided relationships, Max never ages, holding on to a mysterious briefcase that may or may not contain the secret to life.

Based on the novel by Emily Brontë and adapted for the screen by Andrea Arnold and Olivia Hetreed, "Wuthering Heights" (directed by Arnold) stars James Howson as Heathcliff and Kaya Scodelario as Cathy. A Yorkshire hill farmer named Mr. Linton (played by Oliver Milburn), on a visit to Liverpool, finds a homeless boy named Heathcliff on the streets. He takes him home to live as part of his family on the isolated Yorkshire moors where Heathcliff forges an obsessive relationship with the farmer’s daughter Cathy.

March 15, 2013: "My Amityville Horror" (Same day as theatrical release).
For the first time in 35 years, Daniel Lutz recounts his version of the infamous Amityville haunting that terrified his family in 1975. George and Kathy Lutz's story went on to inspire a best-selling novel and the subsequent films have continued to fascinate audiences today. This documentary reveals the horror behind growing up as part of a world famous haunting and while Daniel's facts may be other's fiction, the psychological scars he carries are indisputable.
