Time moves so fast. By the end of the week, it will be February. Where did January go? But the blues just goes on, keeping its own pace, and helping us move more smoothly through the year. Here's where to find the blues this coming week:
Monday, it's the Truett Lollis Trio at Darwin's in Marietta, Gina Sicilia is at Blind Willie's, Pead Boy and The Pork Bellies are at Fat Matt's. Lola heads the jam at Northside Tavern.
Tuesday, it's the acoustic jam at Darwin's. J.T. Speed is at Fat Matt's. My information is that Blind Willie's will be closed on Tuesday.
Wednesday, Scott Glazer's Mojo Dojo is at Blind Willie's. Melanie Denard is at Darwin's and The Hollidays are at Fat Matt's.
Thursday, it's the electric jam at Darwin's, this week with Mary Raindrop as The Cazanovas are in Mennphis for the IBC. Sweet Betty and The Shadows are at Blind Willie's. Chickenshack is at Fat Matt's. The Breeze Kings Acoustic Duo is at The Intercontinental Hotel from 5 to 8 pm and then at Northside Tavern for their regular Thursday gig. There's also an open jam with Nathan Nelson at Nik's Place in Marietta.
Friday, it's The Beau Show at Darwin's. Francine Reed is at Blind Willie's and The Jumpin' Jukes are at Spiced Right Rib House in Roswell.
Saturday, it's Houserocker Johnson at Blind Willie's and Mile Train at Darwin's.
Sunday, Uncle Sugar will be at Northside Tavern.
That's what I know for this week. Have fun and keep on bluesin'!
