The week ahead: Find the blues in and around Atlanta, February 4-10

It's really hard to believe it's February already, but it is and time to turn to thoughts of love! And when one thinks of love, good or bad, can thoughts of the blues be far behind? Not for blues lovers it can't. Here's where to find the music during the coming week. In some cases, like Blind Willie's, I don't have all the February information yet. Contact the club to find out who's playing the early part of the week.

Monday, of course, means the Truitt Lollis Trio at Darwin's in Marietta. Dry White Toast is at Fat Matt's. You can jam with Lola at Northside Tavern.

Tuesday, it's the acoustic jam with Bill Sheffield at Darwin's. Crosstown Allstars are at Fat Matt's and Nathan Nelson and the Entertainment Crackers are at Northside Tavern.

Wednesday, Alex Gordon Hi-Fi is at Darwin's and Fat Matt's Rib Shack. There's an open jam with John McKnight and Co at Nik's Place in Marietta.

Thursday, Chickenshack is at Fat Matt's and there's the electric jam with The Cazanovas at Darwin's There's also an open jam with Nathan Nelson at Nik's Place and The Breeze Kings are at home at Northside Tavern.

Friday, Nick Moss and the Flip Tops come to Blind Willie's! Darwin's hosts Al Ghent and Fat Back Deluxe are at Fat Matt's.

Saturday, Lola Gulley is at Darwin's and Damon Fowler is at Blind Willie's. Atlanta Boogie is at Fat Matt's and The Funky Kings are playing at Nik's Place.

Sunday, Tony Bryant is at Fat Matt's and Uncle Sugar is at Northside Tavern.
