The coming week brings the beginning of March and spring is on the horizon! And in the meantime we have great blues going on in the coming week. Here's where to find it:

Monday, Marshall Ruffin appears at Blind Willie's. Truett Lollis and friends entertain at Darwin's in Marietta as always and Dry White Toast is at Fat Matt's and Mike watson hosts the jam at Loco's in Alpharetta. Rod Hamdallah is at Nik's Place in Marietta. Lola hosts the jam at Northside Tavern and Alexis Vear hosts the open mic at Steve's Live Music in Sandy Springs.

Tuesday, Little G Weevil and Friends are at Darwin's and Timo Arthur is at Blind Willie's. Crosstown Allstars are at Fat Matt's and Nathan Nelson & Entertainment Crackers are at Northside Tavern. A Pair O' Kinds are at Two Urban Licks.

Wednesday, Scott Glazer's Mojo Dojo is at BLind Willie's and John McKnight hosts the Pro Jam at Darwin's. Cobb Energy Center hosts Georgia on My Mind, A Tribute to Ray Charles with Take 6, Clint Holmes, Nnenna Freelon, Kirk Whalum, Shelly Berg and the Clark Atlanta University Band and Singers. Frankie's Blues Mission is at Fat Matt's. Alexis Vear and Stephen "BluesDude" Duncan host the open mic at Hottie Hawgs BBQ. MoonShadow Tavern has an Open Mic Night and Mudcat is at Northside Tavern. The Breeze Kings and Tommy Brown entertain at Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint and Burning Time is at Two Urban Licks.

Thursday, The Cazanovas host the blues jam at Darwin's and Heather Lutrell is at Blind Willie's. Chickenshack is at Fat Matt's and Nathan Nelson does an acoustic turn at Nik's PLace. The Breeze Kings are at Northside Tavern and Billy George and Mo' Lightnin' are at Two Urban Licks. Dr. Love presents Blues and BBQ & Mardi Gras Party at Westside Arts & Cultural Center with Donald Caesar, The Zydeco King, Sandra Hall, Harvey Scales, Jessie James, & the Dr. Love Blues Revue Band

Friday Blind Willie celebrates its 28th Anniversary with Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne and Lazy Lester. Little G Bear is at Black Bear Tavern and The Rockaholics are at Darwin's. Seminole Jackson is at Fat Matt's and Northside Tavern has a Zydefunk King Cake Party. Donna Hopkins is part of the Songwriter's Showcase at Steve's Live Music. Chicago Joe has a student jam at Tin Roof Cantina and Atlanta Boogie is at Two Urban Licks.

Saturday,Blind Willie's continues the celebration with Kenny "Blues Boss' Wayne and Lazy Lester. Heather Lutrell is at Darwin's and the Carolina Chocolate Drops are at Frest Center.

Sunday, Guy Davs is at Red Clay Theatre in Duluth with Fabrizio Poggi and Veronika Jackson. There's a benefit for WRFG from 1 to 5 pm at The Red Light Cafe' Featuring Francine Reed with Matt Wauchope, Diane Durrett Trio, Timo Arthur Trio, Stephen “The Blues Dude” Duncan, and Albert White. Uncle Sugar is at Northside Tavern.
