-Moody Foundation awards $20 million to Rice University
The Moody Foundation, a Houston organization that supports various charities and higher education programs in Texas, has awarded Rice University $20 million for a new Center for the Arts. The university intends to use the center to support education in the arts and anticipates working in collaboration with Houston’s art museums.
-University of Houston Downtown ranked 26 by US News; Spring Career Fair and upcoming Financial Aid Fair
- US News and World Report ranked the University of Houston Downtown as 26 in its Best Colleges rankings for 2013 for regional colleges in the west.
- UHD will present a Spring Career Fair, February 28 at the Special Events Room, A300 in the academic building. Hosted every year by the Career Services Office, the event hosts over 40 employers and generates more than 300 interviews for UHD students and alumni. Professional dress is required. - On Feb 26, UHD will host the Fall 2013 Financial Aid Fair in the Special Events Room of the Academic Building, A300. This is a great opportunity for students to apply for grants and scholarships and to inquire about ways to get free tuition assistance and fees for the upcoming 2013-2014 school year.
