Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, 1 W. Grand Ave., Chicago (312) 755-9339
This winter we will be introducing three strong ales in our "Notorious Chicago" series. The first is a souped-up spin on the traditional Altbier, German ale style. This big, malty amber ale will be balanced combination of strength, rich malt flavor, and German varietal hops. Next in the series will be "Jimmy Hoppa" Imperial IPA in February and, finally, "Dillinger's Demise" Bourbon-Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout in March. All beers in the series will then be available, bottle conditioned, in 22 oz. bomber bottles - these will go on sale at later dates.
