The Week Ahead: Baltimore Writing Education: October 21-27

October 22, 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – The Maryland Writers’ Association, St. Mary's County chapter holds their monthly meeting. The night’s program is Internet Security for Writers and is presented by Rebecca Woosley. Chapter meetings are open to the public and are free to MWA members and first-time guests. Returning non-members will be asked to pay $5. Check their website for additional membership information.
October 25-27 – Head to Ellicott City for Hallowread, a book convention. The three-day event gathers more than twenty authors of the supernatural, horror, urban fantasy and steampunk. Purchase tickets ahead of time on the website.
October 26, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – An all-genre workshop, Writing from the Ground Up: Learn the Steps Involved in Writing a Novel, will be presented by Maryland Romance Writers. Featured speakers include Lea Nolan, Mindy Klasky, Christie Kelly, L. Blankenship and Brigid Kemmerer. Fee: $30 members, $35 non-members.
