The Week Ahead and Months Ahead, for the Rockford Symphony Orchestra

The Rockford Symphony is offering a wonderful opportunity for parents and their children to explore the music world together at the Riverfront Museum Park, 711 N. Main Street. They will host the events starting Jan. 19, in Kresge Hall.

The program is designed to engage children and parents in learning about woodwind, percussion, brass and string instruments. Each performance will introduce a different instrument, by RSO musicians with the introduction of the four groups of instruments.

The performances will take place on Saturdays from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. They will resume again from 11:00 am to noon on Jan. 19, 2013.

The dates will be:

Feb. 9, 2013

March 23, 2013

April 20, 2013

The tickets are priced at $7.00 for adults, and $5.00 for children. If you attend all four events, you will receive a free ticket to a performance by the Rockford Symphony Youth Orchestra on April 20th.
