Anyone, anywhere- Take action by demanding that at least one person who represents the disability community be appointed to the Long Term Care Commission.

Anyone, anywhere- Contact the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and tell them to preserve the Companion Exemption to the Fair Labor Standards Act. This regulation is what allows personal care assistance (PCA) consumers to pay their employees more than 40 hours if they work more than 40 hours without paying their assistants overtime. This makes events like long trips and not needing to have a bunch of assistants if a consumer has many hours possible for (PWD) and more fair for most assistants who support us in these activities. You can contact the OMB's Office of Information & Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) and speak to Boris Bershteyn (Acting Administrator). He will listen to public comments by appointment, usually in person in DC or possibly by telephone. OIRA can only be contacted through the White House switchboard (202-456-1414) or by OMB mail or fax.
