The Week Ahead 3-5-13
Hello everyone and welcome to my weekly “The Week Ahead” article. Each week I'll be posting the details of the up coming big Magic the Gathering events here in Maine and on MTGO for the upcoming weekend and the next.
Lots of byes for Pittsburgh this weekend. With three events on Saturday you can just pick the one closest to you an save on the carpooling gas money.
Saturday, March 9th
Spell Bound and Game On Cafe will both be starting at 1PM and Mages and Sages is the early bird starting at noon. All three events have a $15 entry.
Sunday, March 10th
If you got to work Saturday, or didn't get you three round byes yet, Game Citadel is have their GPT at noon.
Next weekend all the action is in Augusta at Game On Cafe.
Saturday, March 16th
At noon, Game On Cafe is host to the Road to the Maine 5K Qualifier. This format is Standard with a $25 entry fee. Cash prizes to be based upon the attendance. Winner earns a bye for the 5K at Maine Game Con on November 13.
Sunday, March 17th
Game On Cafe's other event this weekend is their trial for Grand Prix Pittsburgh. Starting at noon this event has a $15 entry fee and a Cash prize for 1st place. Other pack prizes will be based upon attendance. If you played in the R2TM5K Qualifier the day before you get a $5 discount on you entry into this event.
So I did make it to Spellbound this past weekend for the GPT to give away some free swag. Congratulations to Brain Cote on winning the set of Jedi Solider tokens.
