The website for the images of the 1940 U.S. Census announced today.

We Springfield family history and genealogy researchers are one step closer to being able to access the 1940 U.S. Census images when they become available on April 2, 2012. Today Archives.com and the National Archives revealed the website that will host the 1940 Census beginning April 2, 2012: 1940census.archives.gov.

There are only 40 days until April 2 release date we have all been eagerly anticipating. This will be the only website hosting all of the 1940 Census images on April 2nd.
