"The Walking Dead" season 4, episode 12 is titled "Still" and a sneak peek reveals that at least one character could be in danger. The official synopsis for the upcoming episode also reveals an "enlightening mission." A March 1 report by The Stir discusses what fans can expect when the episode airs.

Warning: If you do not want to know "The Walking Dead" season 4, episode 12 spoilers or fan speculation, then stop reading.

The synopsis for the upcoming episode reads,

"An enlightening mission springs from a request from one of the group members."

As The Stir pointed out, the first thing that comes to mind is Abraham's group, but the sneak peeks only show Daryl and Beth. So what exactly is the mission? One theory is that it has to do with Beth's hope that they will find the others. Since the return of "The Walking Dead" season 4, she has been hopeful that they are alive.

Daryl on the other hand, has shut himself off and doesn't want to hope for anything. He chose to morph from a solitary man who did things his own way to being a true member of the group, forming connections to people and being thought of as a leader. It seems that once he opened himself up, he lost his "family," which was devastating. In his mind, it is better to not hope, that way there are no disappointments.

Could the enlightening mission have to do with Beth wanting to seek out the others, perhaps going someplace familiar where they might be? Maybe going back to Hershel's farm? Or maybe this mission will have something to do with Sanctuary. If everyone ends up reunited by the season finale and two groups are already on their way, then it seems likely that Daryl and Beth may come across signs to it as well.

AMC's "The Walking Dead" season 4, episode 12 will air on March 2.
