The Walking Dead to visit the Amazing Arizona Comic Con

Fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead series who are anxiously awaiting the show’s return in 2014 might want to make plans to attend the Amazing Arizona Comic Con which is scheduled to return to the Phoenix Convention Center this month. The annual con opens at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24 and runs through 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26.

Featured Walking Dead guests Robert Kirkman and Danai Gurira will be on hand Saturday and Sunday to meet fans, sign autographs and pose for photos.

Kirkman, creator and writer of the popular and highly-rated basic cable drama, is also a publisher whose work has appeared on best seller lists. Gurira plays Michonne on the television show.

Tickets for the Amazing Arizona Comic Con can be purchased through the Phoenix Convention Center Box Office or online by clicking here. Three-day admission is $60; Friday and Sunday admission is $25 daily, with Saturday tickets going for $35. Children 10 and under are free with a paid adult admission. With every regular priced admission attendees will receive the Walking Dead #1 Exclusive Variant by Rob Liefeld. A black and white version of the same artwork/cover will be sold exclusively at the Skybound booth in the vendors hall. Die-hard (pun intended) Walking Dead fans can purchase the special Walking Dead Premium Package at $200 or a VIP Premium Package admission for $160. These special packages include early admission, priority seating for panel discussions and a gift bag. Click here for details.

In addition to The Walking Dead, the annual convention will feature cos-play, costuming and a costume contest, a Zombie Beauty Pageant and Kids Day on Sunday. Monika Lee from the Syfy channel’s Heroes of Cosplay and cosplay superstar Jessica Nigri are among other featured guests from the worlds of fantasy and pop culture.

The Phoenix Convention Center is located at 100 N. Third Street in Phoenix, AZ. The Amazing Arizona Comic Con is open Friday, January 24 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25 from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
