On Sunday, March 16 Wetpaint Entertainment posted the synopsis and spoilers for "Us," the fifteenth episode of the fourth season of "The Walking Dead," which is the final episode before the season finale. The official synopsis for the episode is listed below:

However brutal some survivors believe they must be to stay alive, we get to see that faith can sometimes be the strongest survival tool.

The mention of faith indicates that Beth Greene will be in the episode, since she was abducted by a car with a cross in the window. The comic book character Father Gabriel Stokes may be appearing on the television series as Gareth, a young man that executive producers have confirmed in a mixture of different comic book characters. Gareth, played by actor Andrew J. West, will play a small but important role in season four and could be a series regular in season five.

David S. Goyer directed the episode, and recently revealed that "something really bad happens" in the episode. It's possible one of the two major deaths that are coming in the second half will happen in the penultimate episode, since Shane and Merle were killed in the fifteenth episode of the first and second seasons.

The episode title also hints that other groups will appear in the episode. Rick, Carl and Michonne haven't appeared since episode eleven, and Daryl was seen filming on train tracks with Joe and the other guys in the final weeks of production. Glenn, Maggie, Sasha, Bob, and the others are still headed for the Terminus.

"Us" will air on Sunday, March 23 at 9 p.m. on AMC. It is the final episode before the season finale, which will set up the events for season five. Production will begin on the fifth season outside Atlanta in May. The new sixteen episode season will premiere in the fall.
