Not too long ago, a fan made video that claimed to be an official trailer for the upcoming “The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct,” which is shown above, made its way around the web. This video showcased an unpolished and early version of this upcoming first-person shooter, which is being developed by Terminal Velocity. Through the spread of this video, many fans of this title acquired the idea that this was a near completed version of the game. Following the initial release of this footage, it was confirmed that this was indeed very early footage of the title and was not any type a representation of what the final product will bring.
In response to this, today Terminal Velocity has reached out to Digital Spy to discuss the footage that was released.
Essentially it was old footage, it was yes, from The Walking Dead and it was from another interview I had done, but the game's in development. It's going to continue to get better. You saw the graphics [at a press event in London], I know that was a big deal, you saw them, they looked a hundred times better than what they did.
A game is constantly in development, time is the ultimate enemy of any game. If we had huge budgets and four years to run, games would look a lot better and visually more stunning. Sometimes you have to show what you got to get people interested and get the ball rolling.
“The Walking Dead:Survival Instinct” is currently scheduled for release on the Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on March 29.
