The final eight episodes of the fourth season of "The Walking Dead" won't begin airing until February, but there is already a sneak peek for the ninth episode. On Monday, December 2 Wetpaint Entertainment posted a new promo for the next episode, which does not have a title yet, and features all the separated prison survivors as they deal with finding a new safe place.
The thirty second promo reveals that the prison is definitely no longer a safe place anymore now that the fences have been destroyed. Walkers are getting back inside the prison and invading the living area so everyone will need to find a new safe location. Beth is shown walking away from some big flames and Carl is walking down a deserted road. Tyreese is in the woods trying to fight off walkers and Glenn who is still recovering from the illness holds up a lamp to get a better look at something.
Rick and Carl are shown inside of a house that they took shelter in. Rick is still recovering from his beating from The Governor, plus a gun shot wound to the leg. Carl is shown with his gun out making sure the area is safe. He later is yelling at Rick to wake up and it's possible Rick has a serious head injury. Andrew Lincoln, who portrays Rick Grimes on the series, revealed a few weeks ago that this episode will be a major one for Chandler Riggs, who plays Carl.
Michonne, Sasha, and Bob are shown trying to find a safe place in the woods after the walkers seem to be at every turn. Bob and Sasha are running while Michonne has her katana out and is ready to fight. Daryl is forced into another leadership role now that everyone is separated and investigates a house as a possible temporary safe zone for the large group.
Episode nine is scheduled to air on Sunday, February 9 at 9 p.m. on AMC. The second half of the season will introduce new locations and at least three new characters that will be series regulars including Abraham Ford, Dr. Eugene Porter and Rosita Espinosa. Other characters from the comic books will also make appearances and it's possible the prison survivors will travel north to a known safe zone. Tune in to find out how the characters survive in the aftermath of the prison attack.
