On Sunday, October 13 Wetpaint Entertainment posted a sneak peek for "Infected," the second episode of the fourth season of "The Walking Dead," which premiered tonight on AMC. The episode will focus on the walker attack against the prison as well as the new threat threatening the mortality of several survivors.
The thirty second clip that the walkers manage to infiltrate the prison after new defenses were put up to keep them out. Carl and Rick are doing some father and son farming in the yard and Carl wants his gun back, but Rick took it to punish Carl for his actions in the season three finale.
Some girls run out of the prison yelling for help and then Glenn confirms that walkers have gotten into cell block D. Carl runs into the watch tower with Maggie to stay safe while Rick runs back to the prison to kill the walkers and keep people safe. Michonne hears the gun shots while she's out on a run with Flame, and rides quickly back to the prison.
The first episode of the season confirms that the new threat against the survivors is an illness and shows Patrick, played by Vincent Martella, getting sicker and sicker before wondering into the bathroom and collapsing. The prison will lose a bunch of people due to the walker attack in the prison and the new illness will become a realized threat after the dust has settled on the attack.
"Infected" will air Sunday, October 20 at 9 p.m. on AMC. Tune in to find out how the prison deals with the walker attack and how they got in. The new threat will begin to cause problems after the group realizes anyone in the prison could be infected. Everyone will become a walker when they die whether they are bitten or not, and a contagious illness will speed up that process.
