When The Walking Dead wrapped up the first half of Season 2, fans were left stunned with the latest developments. Viewers are already aching for the show's return in February, but for now they'll have to be satisfied with embracing some Walking Dead spoilers and juicy tidbits. Monday the site FearNet.com posted its interview with show creator Robert Kirkman, and it's clear that fans have a lot to look forward to when the show returns.
FearNet.com asked Kirkman what fans can expect throughout the rest of Season 2, and he teased some great Walking Dead spoilers. He shares, "We knew that the break was coming in this season, so we wrote to it... Coming into the second half of the season I think that we kind of hit the ground running, and it's just non-stop all kinds of cool stuff." Fans who thought the mid-season finale had a fantastic ending apparently have seen nothing yet. Robert shares, "I will say that when we come back in February the first episode back has the best ending that I've thus seen."
Many fans have been buzzing about the rumor that a major character will die. Everybody knows that Kirkman takes the comic book series and modifies the storylines as he sees fit for the screen, so anything can happen. Will somebody die? Kirkman says, "People are gonna die. Whether they're gonna be main characters I can't really say." He adds, "I don' tknow what people consider to be a main character, but there are human characters on the show that will not be surviving."
Robert Kirkman also chats with FearNet.com about some of his other projects, so head on over to the site to read the full interview. What do you think will be happening on the show throughout the rest of Season 2? Tune in to The Walking Dead when it returns to AMC (channel 43 on Cox in Scottsdale) on Sunday, February 12, 2012.
