'The Walking Dead' spoilers: 'Arrow on the Post' starts a war

After watching the March 10 episode of “The Walking Dead”, “Arrow on the Post”, you are probably trying to remember what happened to Maggie earlier in the season and just why The Governor is so angry he has asked Rick Grimes to give him Michonne in exchange for the lives of his loved ones back at the prison.

Maggie Green is Hershel Green's daughter. She and her boyfriend Glenn met while Rick and the rest of the survivors from the prison sought safety on Herschel's farm. When the farm burned down after a zombie raid, everyone headed out and eventually ended up at their current home, the prison.

Fast forward to today, and everyone hates The Governor because he kidnapped Glenn and Maggie a few episodes ago. Glenn was badly beaten by Merle Dixon, Daryl's brother when he wouldn't give him information on the prison.

Maggie was almost raped by The Governor. He forced her to take off her clothes and bend over in front of him as he tried to intimidate her into telling her about the rest of the survivors at the prison.

In “Arrow on the Post” Maggie and Glenn seem to make amends after Maggie's attack.

The Governor, though, is still mad because on the same night, Michonne snuck into the town looking for him, seeking revenge for taking her best friend Andrea away from her.

Michonne finds The Governor's daughter Penny, now a walker, and kills her when The Governor walks in on her in his home.

Since that day, The Governor has had it out for her. Michonne not only killed his daughter Penny but also took away his right eye in their fight!

Now, he has asked Rick Grimes to give up Michonne in exchange for the lives of everyone he loves back at the prison.

Maggie and Glenn sneak in a quickie just before Rick, Hershel, and Daryl arrive from Rick's meeting with The Governor.

Rick tells everyone The Governor is ready to go to war. He says: “He wants the prison. He wants us all dead. We're going to war.”

He doesn't tell them The Governor has asked for Michonne's life. He decides to confide in Hershel, letting him know what The Governor has proposed. Hershel, speechless, is not sure what to say.

The episode ends as Milton realizes things will not go as planned. The Governor tells Milton they will eventually have to kill Rick because they cannot live side by side.

A sneak peek into next week's episode shows a disillusioned Milton Mamet trying to get Andrea to let the people back at the prison to leave at once, to avoid the war.
