Before “The Walking Dead” debuted the back-half of Season 4, we posted that two major character deaths were ahead. So far, the spoiler predictions are correct, as Hershel is now gone. The other character is Sasha, but the events in Sunday’s, March 9, “Alone” episode might change that. Spoilers are ahead if you are not caught up to “The Walking Dead.”
Like we mentioned in the original article (check it out here), Sasha is a character that fans have grown to love, but is she big enough to be considered a major death? Many don’t think so. Beth, however, might be, and her fate doesn’t look so good after what happened in episode 13, “Alone.” To quickly recap, Beth was taken by someone in a car while Daryl fought off walkers that got inside a home they took shelter in. There were so many walkers that it makes one wonder if they were purposely put there as a trap. If that’s the case, it makes more sense that the people who took Beth reacted so quickly after the walkers came inside – they knew their target and moment of action. The chances of Beth’s kidnappers being good guys are pretty slim, some speculation has it that they are the Hunters from the comics.
Is Beth really the next one to go, though? That would be two members of the Greene family dying this season. “The Walking Dead” writers can do better than that…right? Unless she does die but isn’t consider a “major character” (although she’s been around since Season 2), and there is a third death coming.
Characters that I would consider as seriously major are Rick, Carl, Michonne, Daryl, and Glenn. We know that, at least for this season, Rick and Carl are safe. Daryl has been rumored to be dying this season, but it could just be production trying to get views each Sunday and toying with hardcore Daryl fans. Could it be Michonne? Possibly. What about Glenn? Unless he has an awesomely written death (like in the comics), I think it would be dumb to have had him survive the flu phase only to kill him later.
“The Walking Dead” Season 4, episode 14 “The Grove,” airs this Sunday, March 16, on AMC. If you can't wait to find out what happens next, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to catch the latest spoilers on your newsfeed!
