Now that the mid-Season 4 premiere of “The Walking Dead” has debuted, it’s time to speculate on the episode to come. On Sunday, February 9, AMC released new promos and sneak peeks to episode 10, “Inmates.” Ahead are spoilers if you are not caught up to “The Walking Dead” or wish to not know anything that’s coming up.

OK. So we know the whereabouts of Rick, Carl, and Michonne, but what about the rest of the crew? Fans were very happy to see the other survivors in the promo videos. Just to recap, here are the pairings:

  • Daryl and Beth
  • Maggie, Sasha, and Bob
  • Tyreese, Mika, and Lizzie (and maybe, possibly, hopefully, fingers crossed, baby Judith)
  • A solo Glenn? (the bus crew seems to be all walkers)
  • And Carol is around somewhere (confirmed to return sometime this season)

Check out images to the sneak peaks in the slideshow attached to this article! In one promo, Beth seems to unsuccessfully get Daryl to track down some of the survivors. She refuses to believe that they are the only ones that made it out. Daryl looks beat, pays no attention and stays put. Beth takes matters into her own hands (she’s not a shy farm girl anymore!) and says she’ll go find them herself.

In another sneak peak, Daryl is with Beth following some tracks, so Daryl must have followed Beth after she went to try and track their friends. The video ends with a walker heading towards them. And in the other promo it looks like a walker closed in on Beth, hope Dixon saves the day!

A confused and weak Glenn wakes up in a short scene, shouting for Maggie. The bus is shown in a clip, but only walkers surround it as Maggie stands by them. The two must be searching for each other. It’s important to note that in an old promo, Tara (or at least it seems to be her) is running alongside someone wearing riot gear, and Glenn is wearing that gear in his scene. Perhaps they bumped into each other when Glenn returned to look for Maggie.

Some “Inmates” spoiler snippets:

The official synopsis is – “In the quest for stability and safety, the group faces many obstacles.” Well, duh…not a lot of help or hints are given away there. That sounds more like the quick recap of the entire series, and not an episode, but whatever – gotta take what we can get!

“Inmates” is rumored to be following four storylines, so four groups. The premiere, “After,” seemed to have gone by so fast! Maybe it’s because of the anticipation for the show’s return, but I hope the four storylines aren’t rushed. I loved the character development of the Carl, Rick, and Michonne on “After,” and learning more about Michonne. “Inmates” needs to be just as good.

Speaking of the episode hopefully not being rushed, as if we didn’t already have enough people to keep up with, three new characters will be joining “Inmates.” They are characters from the comics and won’t appear till the very end of the episode. You can read all about them here – or follow a link from below.

The director of “Inmates” was quoted sharing how this episode will feature, “some of the oddest couplings of groups you’ve seen…There’s violence, difficulty in dealing with one another, terror…It’s a very intimate episode.”
