"The Walking Dead" which premiered on AMC in 2010, is starting season four on Oct. 13, 2013. This is very exciting to all of us who love this show. It is the most popular series for the age demographics of 18-49.
An even more exciting event was announced recently. "TWD" is to have a spin off series.
The president of AMC reveals:
“Building on the success of the most popular show on television for adults 18-49 is literally a no-brainer,” said Charlie Collier, AMC’s president and general manager. “We look forward to working with Robert, Gale and Dave again as we develop an entirely new story and cast of characters. It’s a big world and we can’t wait to give fans another unforgettable view of the zombie apocalypse.”
What is the only downside? It's not going to be ready until 2015.
What does this mean for the original "Walking Dead?" Will it still be on TV in 2015? It sounds like a long time, but in Hollywood time, it's not that long.
Will the first series bleed (pun intended) into the new series to kick it off?
There IS a big world out there and there are as many stories as there are survivors or even zombies.
What do you think? Will you watch the new series?
