'The Walking Dead' season 5: Who is Burton?

"The Walking Dead" has some of the most passionate fans and while the wait in between seasons is long, there are always interesting details to report. In addition to spoilers, photos from fans visiting the filming locations and interviews, there are also viewers who have some pretty good theories. On June 6, Movie Pilot posted some information and theories regarding the new characters that will be introduced in season 5.

One of the new characters that viewers will meet this October is Burton. It is currently unknown who is playing this role, but the character is described as being a 17-year-old boy. He is missing a leg, but he does not let that keep him down. The character is also described as being full of positivity, which is infectious to all those around him.

While there isn't a character named Burton in the comic books, it is interesting that he is missing a limb. In the comics, Dale has to have his leg amputated. Later in the comics, he ends up being bitten and sneaks off to the forest at night. However, he ends up being kidnapped by the Hunters, a group of cannibals. When Dale wakes up, the leader of the Hunters, Chris, introduces himself. The cannibal group had been munching on his legs. However, Dale had the zombie infection in his system.

Movie Pilot noted that Burton's "infectious" positivity is an interesting choice of words. There is a theory that Burton missing a leg like Dale was in the comics could be a hint. Could the "infectious" description be another clue that he will be taking on a bit of the storyline from the comics?

What do you think of the theory regarding Burton? What do you think will happen with his character when "The Walking Dead" returns for a fifth season in October 2014?
