Showrunner Scott M. Gimple commented on Daryl’s sexual preferences, “We know all sorts of things about the characters that we haven’t revealed.” Gimple continues, “We’re not holding back information on Daryl’s sexuality as any sort of big reveal. The fact that there’s still a question as to what Daryl’s orientation is in Season 5 absolutely speaks to Daryl’s character.”

Right, so he didn’t exactly spoil if Daryl is gay or not, but he does confirm that a gay male character will be in Season 5. We weren’t really expecting Gimple to reveal such a big spoiler, but we were looking forward to a hint. Production is very tight on spoilers though, so teasing fans is something they love to do.

There is definitely a gay male character on the way though, but when that character will arrive is being kept under wraps. Stay tuned for the latest “The Walking Dead” information and spoilers as we learn them! “The Walking Dead” Season 5 premieres on AMC on October 12.
