"The Walking Dead" season 5 is still a long way from airing, but fans across the web have been gathering clues. Some of those clues were compiled by Television Blend on April 28. The article discusses several aspects of what to expect when the zombie drama returns to AMC, but one interesting point brought up was Scott Gimple's response to a power struggle question.
The season 4 finale was left with a bit of a cliffhanger. Beth's whereabouts are unknown, Tyreese, Carol and baby Judith are presumably still out there somewhere and the rest of the characters made it to Terminus. However, Terminus wasn't a sanctuary like it was promised to be. Instead of having a new home, Rick and the others were put into a boxcar and now fans have all kinds of questions and speculations about what will happen next.
Showrunner Scott Gimple had an interview with Larry King and "The Walking Dead" season 5 was discussed. He was asked about if there would be a power struggle in the boxcar since it was filled with so many alpha males. It turns out that it will not occur in the boxcar, but it could happen in the season. Rick and Abraham butting heads once the whole Terminus situation is resolved is one theory fans have.
Other things to expect in "The Walking Dead" season 5 is Rick and Carl both being changed by their experiences, a new romance and it has been reported that Gareth will have a huge presence when the show returns. The Hollywood Reporter stated that Tara and Rosita, along with Gareth, all have been promoted to series regulars. Abraham and Eugene will also appear regularly. Since their goal is to head to Washington, D.C., it seems that eventually Rick and the group might head there also.
It was also revealed that "The Walking Dead" season 5 will have a lot more action and viewers will find out what happened to Beth. It is also being teased that Morgan will return at some point and Gimple is working hard to make it happen, but nobody knows yet if it will be this season or if fans will have to wait until season 6 or beyond. There will also be a new character named Burton and E! Online reported that Rick is going to recruit as many people as he can to deal with Terminus.
What do you think is going to happen in "The Walking Dead" season 5? Which main characters do you think will die when the show returns? Fans will have to wait until AMC airs the upcoming season in October 2014 to find out for sure.
