The rumors and spoilers about season 5 of "The Walking Dead" keep coming up, making fans really excited for the new season to air in October. Yesterday, WetPaint posted a new update on the zombie series. The website revealed that there is a rumor that a major character gets hit by a car. Who is it and do they survive?

It looks like there is going to be a lot of action with vehicles when "TWD" returns. A car chase, a crashed bus, a fire truck drenched in blood and now someone gets hit by a car. The Spoiling Dead Fans received a tip that Carol (Melissa McBride) was hit by a car. The alleged car is also rumored to have a cross on it. However, it is a different vehicle than the one that took Beth. This one is a stationwagon, but the cross is on the back window, just like the black one from season 4.

Onlookers are saying that after Carol was hit by the car, two people dressed as police officers exited the vehicle. After seeing them, Carol faints and they put her on a cot and load her into the stationwagon. Carol fainting? She either must be faking or the two people she sees are shocking to her. It seems more likely that she knows she is in danger and is faking it. What better way to get an advantage on your enemies when you are outnumbered than to fake passing out. Then when their guard is down, she can attack. But of course, this is just a theory.

The spoiler site continues that the broken window on the stationwagon was replaced after the scene was filmed. Because Carol seemed to faint after seeing the people exit the car (and not when she was hit,) she does survive. McBride was seen later with what appeared to be rope burns on her wrists. Her stunt double also returned looked roughed up.

WetPaint speculated on who the cars with crosses belong to. Since there have been multiple vehicles with the cross, it is a group of people and not just one individual. A lot of fans have speculated that Father Gabriel took Beth. Does he belong to some sort of cult? Or was he not involved? Do the vehicles belong to Gareth and the (speculated) cannibals at Terminus? Or is this a whole new group that Team Prison will have to worry about?

What do you think of the rumor that Carol is hit by a car? Who do you think the cars with crosses belong to? Why did Carol faint and what is their reasoning for kidnapping the female characters? Fans won't find out for sure until October 2014 when "The Walking Dead" season 5 airs on AMC.
