Just a little more patience folks as the Season 5 premiere of “The Walking Dead” is still about 5 weeks away but the kind folks at AMC have given us some new poster art to tide us over. We also have reports of sightings of various characters as filming continues toward the second 8 episodes of the season, according to Wetpaint on Sept. 2.
The new key art features a very serious-looking Rick Grimes, looking about as grimy as we’ve ever seen him, with his trusty revolver in hand. He’s not in the train car anymore. He’s wearing a jacket, crouching in the woods or some bushes. The look of determination and resolve in his eyes says he’s intently watching something or someone. The tag line for the poster is ‘HUNT OR BE HUNTED.’ Who or what is Rick hunting?
In previous spoilers, we’ve learned that Rick and company get out of train car fairly quickly in the premiere episode. Fans have believed the inhabitants of Terminus are the cannibals from the comic book series. If those premises are to be believed, then the poster suggests that our band of survivors may have to resort to hunting their captors or being hunted themselves.
Filming of season 5 is progressing and the cast and crew are rallying to start filming the second 8 episodes of Season 5. It is customary for one or more of the major characters to be killed off during a season. So news of sightings of major characters is good news for fans. It means their faves haven’t been killed off yet.
According to The Spoiling Dead Fans on Facebook, "Rick, Gabriel, Sasha, Maggie, Michonne, Abraham, Rosita and Carol all appear to be on location," on Aug. 29. So at least we know those folks made it through the midseason finale. Previously sited were Father Gabriel, Michonne and possibly Tara. On Aug. 28, the Facebook page fans noted seeing Glenn and Tyreese as well.
As of yesterday, the group posted that "Daryl, Carl, Abraham, Glenn, Tara, Maggie, Michonne, Carol and Judith all confirmed for today.” That still leaves Bob Stookey, Eugene, Beth and baby Judith unaccounted for.
“The Walking Dead” Season 5 premiere airs Oct. 12 on AMC. Keep checking back for more “The Walking Dead Season 5 spoilers.
