It seems like fans are waiting forever for season 5 of "The Walking Dead." Thankfully, the cast and crew has opened up a little bit, being careful not to reveal any major spoilers. On Sunday, ComicBook.com reported a few details about the upcoming season. One of the things that was revealed was that many new characters are going to be introduced when the show returns to AMC this October.

Producer Jolly Dale said that even though a lot of characters have been killed off, viewers shouldn't be too upset. It turns out that there will be "way more characters to come." Fans already know that Seth Gilliam has been added to the cast and it is being speculated that he will be playing a priest. Many wonder if his character is Father Gabriel Stokes from the comics. There is also going to be a 17-year-old boy named Burton, who is missing a leg and his positivity is "contagious."

The interview with Dale was published on the AMC blog and she also talked about "The Walking Dead" season 5 premiere. It was previously reported that Chandler Riggs' father tweeted about how it was going to shock people. Jolly couldn't give too much information about the episode, but did say that it is the biggest episode they have ever done. It's a huge task making everything come together so it's just like they want it to be. She also said that the premiere is going to be amazing.

The most exciting thing Dale had to say was that those who have read the comics will have a good idea of where the season is going. There is a lot of speculation and those who are visiting the filming locations have reported pieces of information as well.

So far, fan sites like The Spoiling Dead Fans have reported Seth Gilliam dressed as a priest, photos have been taken of a house boarded up with crosses and there were reports that is going to be some sort of car chase. Emily Kinney, who plays Beth Greene on "The Walking Dead" has been spotted a few times.

If you have read "The Walking Dead" comics, what direction do you think the show will go this year? Do you have any theories on what will happen when the zombie series returns this fall?
