'The Walking Dead' season 4B spoilers: Rick, Carol, Michonne, Carl and Judith

"The Walking Dead" is currently on a mid-season break and will not return until January 2014, but there are plenty of spoilers and theories circulating the Internet. Fans are interested in finding out about Michonne's past and details about the Sanctuary. One of the biggest questions is if Carol will return and if so, when. On Dec. 5, Wet Paint answered some of these questions.

Warning: If you do not want to know "The Walking Dead" season 4 spoilers, then stop reading.

The show will return on Feb. 9 and there will be eight episodes in the second half of the season. There were a few things that were resolved in the mid-season finale, but now there are so many new questions.

Will Carol return?

Robert Kirkman has told several media outlets that Carol will definitely return before the end of season 4. Fans who live near the shooting locations in Georgia have revealed that Carol, Tyreese and twin babies were all present. The only question is when will she reappear, but director Tricia Brock said that episode 10 will include four storylines and "some of the oddest couplings of groups you've seen."

It sounds like Rick's team is going to be divided into four groups. If Carol and Tyreese are together, that certainly would be an odd pairing.

Is baby Judith alive or dead?

The twin babies being seen on location probably means that baby Judith is either alive or they will show her in flashbacks. The former is more likely, but when will Rick and Carl find out that she is alive? On the mid-season finale they thought she was dead and fled the prison. Spoilers have revealed that the father and son will be on their own for a while. Another question is who has Judith and will she survive out in the wilderness?

Will viewers ever find out about Michonne's past?

Apparently the answer to that question is yes. Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne on the series said in an interview a while back that she does know her character's back story, but did not give any more details than that. The TV Guide wrote that that there will be glimpses into the lives of certain characters. One of those will probably be Michonne. Not only is she the most mysterious characters, but it is being speculated that she once had a child because of her reaction when Beth had her hold baby Judith. If anyone could survive with a baby out there, it would be Michonne.

Where will Rick and Carl go?

It is unknown where Rick and Carl will go after the prison but a promo video reveals clues. It shows two zombies standing at a white door of a house. Carl lures them away and is leading them down the road somewhere. Rick bursts open a door to a house, which is colored white just like the one the zombies were at. Another clip shows Rick staring at his badly beaten face in the mirror. Then Carl is urgently trying to wake his father up and is screaming for him to wake up.

It seems that they will hole up in an abandoned house, but why is Carl having trouble waking up Rick? Is he that exhausted or could the brutal fight with the Governor be affecting his consciousness?

"The Walking Dead" season 4 will return on Feb. 9.
