"The Walking Dead" season 4 is off to a great start and fans are anxious to find out who will die next and who will survive. They have to worry about walkers, a possible traitor among them, the Governor still being on the loose and now a mystery illness that is affecting both the animals and humans. On Oct. 16, Wet Paint discussed the possibility of baby Judith being the next one to die.
As fans saw in the season premiere, there is an illness going around that affects both animals and humans. Not only that, but it kills its victims very quickly. The immune systems of babies do not have any defenses, making them more vulnerable to sicknesses and it seems like everyone wants to hold or touch babies, making her risk of contracting the illness much higher.
Glen Mazzara spoke to the L.A. Times last year about baby Judith and said,
“Every single one of my writers has asked us to kill off that baby."
“I’m dragging my feet. [...] That baby is a victory for this group. Rick set up the mission, saying, We’re going to take this prison so that Lori has a place to give birth. And Daryl when he steps up as the leader in Rick’s absence, says, We’re going to keep this baby alive, we’re not losing any more [people]. One of the things that I’ve been very mindful of is that our group has to have victories. If they are just staying beaten up every week and there’s absolutely no win, it’s going to feel very, very bleak for the audience."
The only time that baby Judith added to the story on "The Walking Dead" was when she was born and when they didn't have formula for her. As fans remember, Glenn and Maggie went to get formula, but Merle kidnapped them and then they were held and tortured by him and the Governor. Michonne made her appearance when she brought the formula to the prison.
But since then, she really hasn't been relevant to the story. Spoilers have revealed that in "The Walking Dead" season 4, they will deal with losses, something terrible will happen that will cause a division in the group and Rick will go through something painful near the mid-season finale. Unless baby Judith has more relevancy in the show, besides being the most vulnerable, then it is entirely possible that she could be killed off.
What do you think will happen on "The Walking Dead" season 4 when it comes to baby Judith? Will she end up dying or will she survive?"
