On Monday, October 7 Entertainment Weekly posted a new interview with actor Norman Reedus who plays Daryl Dixon on the series "The Walking Dead," about what fans can expect from the upcoming fourth season. New characters, new threats, and new ways of life will be introduced and will change the dynamic of the show. The new series will return on Sunday, October 13 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
The new season will focus more on the individual characters and there are fifty new survivors from Woodbury in the prison, after The Governor massacred dozens at the end of season three. Reedus mentioned that there is an "unfamiliarity" between the prison survivors and the newbies and that will leave everyone wondering who can be trusted.
The actor revealed that "the fear is back in season four" as the walkers get more dangerous and the future is just as uncertain as season one. People will need to learn to trust each other to survive. Having the new characters also means that the core prison group will be interacting less. Daryl is the new, reluctant leader of the prison and Rick is still figuring out his sanity and helping Carl on the right path.
The introduction of new characters also means more deaths are coming on the show and some of them will be familiar faces from previous seasons. Spoilers have pointed to Herschel and Sasha getting killed off, but there is always the possibility of Rick or someone else to change the dynamic of the series. Fans have previously threatened to riot if Daryl is killed off the series.
"The Walking Dead" will return with the first episode of season four, "30 Days Without an Accident," which will air on Sunday, October 13. Tune in to find out who lives and who dies and what changes have happened at the prison. The Governor is expected to appear in at least two episodes of the series and a new threat will cause more problems for everyone.
