"The Walking Dead" season 4 will be airing in ten days and fans are excited that the popular zombie show is finally returning to the air. In the meantime, viewers are scouring the web in search for spoilers and speculation on what will happen. On Oct. 2, MStars News reported some details that could surprise fans.

When the series returns on Oct. 13, Rick will no longer be in charge, although he will be sane. As photos and sneak peeks have shown, the prison is going to have a huge intrusion of walkers and a recent spoiler revealed that Andrew Lincoln's character will meet someone who has a huge list of horrible deeds.
One of the major problems coming up are "some really intense, scary, very detail-oriented zombies," Robert Kirkman told Michael Ausiello of "Ask Ausiello." Apparently, these walkers are going to be way more intense than ever before. However, they will not be changing their behavior or methods in a major way.
As far as Rick no longer being a leader, instead he will be focusing on parenting baby Judith and Carl. Instead of just protecting them in the physical sense, the widowed father of two will be focusing on caring for them emotionally, which is really what Carl (Chandler Riggs) needs. As fans remember from last season, the boy had turned from being innocent to killing a boy in cold blood and becoming bitter and angry at his father bringing the Woodbury residents to the prison. The central theme for "The Walking Dead" season 4 is making sure that Carl don't lose his humanity, if it's not too late.
Michonne (Danai Gurira) will also be serving as a role model for Carl. Robert Kirkman said,
"Their relationship is something of a focus for the entire season. I wouldn't say she's a (mother figure) to him, but it's a friendly relationship. They're almost like peers."
Also, the Governor (David Morrissey) will be returning, but will be coming back as a very different character. Does this mean that he will change his ways? Fans will have to tune in to AMC to find out.
What do you think will happen on "The Walking Dead" season 4? Do you think that Andrew Lincoln's character will be able to bring Carl back? What is your take on the Governor and the walkers?
The Governor vanished at the end of Season 3 and was not seen in the trailer that the show revealed at Comic-Con in July, but Kirkman said that when he does return, "he's going to be a very different character."
