On Tuesday, October 22 Wetpaint Entertainment revealed new spoilers about episode eight of the fourth season of "The Walking Dead," which will be the mid-season finale. The episode will air on Sunday, December 1 and the other eight episodes will begin airing in February 2014.
Actor Andrew Lincoln, who portrays Rick Grimes, previously revealed that the mid-season finale would be "painful" for fans and recently spoiled that there will be some "dynamite" in the episode. It's possible that half way through the season the group is forced to leave the prison due to an explosion. The Governor also attacks the prison with a tank in the comic books, and the character will appear in at least two episodes this season which will explain what he was been up to.
Three new characters from the comic book series have yet to appear this season, but they meet the prison group and have new information about the virus. Rosita, Eugene Porter and Abraham Ford are on their way to Washington D.C. and the prison group follows them, although the television series does not mirror the comics exactly.
Lincoln also teased that the second half of the season will take a show in a new direction and it's "a completely new show." This could be because the series has a new show runner this season and new characters and situations have already brought change to the show.
"The Walking Dead" airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on AMC. Tune in to "Talking Dead," the after show for the drama which is hosted by Chris Hardwick for more information about each episode and watch sneak peeks.
