‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 spoiler: Which character won’t be back this year?

The Walking Dead” will be returning from hiatus on Sunday, Feb. 9 but that doesn’t mean we aren’t itching for more spoilers like which character won’t be returning this year. On Feb. 7, Screen Crush shared news about that character and whether or not we will learn his fate before season 5.

With all the spoilers out there, we pretty much know who survived and who didn’t following the prison war in the midseason finale of season 4 of “The Walking Dead.” Still, there are a few whose fates remain in question and one of those is Morgan (Lennie James). Show runner Scott Gimple recently confirmed that in spite of earlier rumors to the contrary, Morgan will not be making an appearance in the final 8 episodes of season 4.

Gimple had been misquoted about the character returning. When asked if this means he is gone for good, Gimple had this to say:

“Will he be on the show again? Yes. I am absolutely certain of that.”

IN the comic books, it is after the prison war that Rick goes back to look for Morgan. He finds him, without his son Duane and gets him to join his group. Some of this already happened in season 3 episode entitled “Clear” except that Morgan didn’t join Rick then and he had come a little unhinged, setting elaborate traps and such. How and if he returns in season 5 is something we will have to wait and see.

“The Walking Dead” returns with the winter premiere of season 4 on Sunday, Feb. 9 with the episode entitled “After.”
