“The Walking Dead” continues with the second episode in season 4 tonight, titled “Infected.” It is not known just what or who 'Infected' refers to or how it fits into the very methodical life revealed in the “The Walking Dead” opener. According to ComicBook.com. on Oct 20, the folks at the prison face a new enemy, one they've not faced before.
At one point Daryl is seen wearing a bandana over his mouth like a wild-west bank robber would wear. Since there’s no banks left to rob and money is worthless, one could only think that he is wearing it to filter out some sort of particles, maybe bacteria.
Has the walker’s sickness become an airborne contagion? The Comcast Xfinity menu reports that a brand new enemy has the group fighting to protect the life they created at the prison. Since humans and walkers have already made themselves known as enemies, what could this brand new enemy be?
At one point this season, the prison once again looks overrun by walkers, which is seen on one of the many clips of previews the show has released so far. The walkers seem to be flocking to the prison in droves as seen last week when the now extended group of humans have fence duty to kill them.
They stand at the fence and knock off the walkers. The lack of any emotion as they penetrate the skulls of these once humans with sharp objects, shows how this new world has tainted them. It also shows that humans adapt very easily, even to the most grotesque situations.
Since “The Walking Dead” has taken many liberties with the storyline found in the comic book series, you can just about expect anything to happen in this series. Even the walkers evolving and getting smarter, faster and harder to kill. What is the new enemy they face tonight?
