On Thursday, March 27 Wetpaint Entertainment posted an interview with Josh McDermitt, who plays Eugene Porter on the fourth season of the AMC television drama "The Walking Dead," and the actor mentioned that the season finale will make fans happy.
In the penultimate episode, Porter and his companions finally made it to Terminus and they are the first group of survivors to arrive. McDermitt mentioned that the finale will make fans "really happy" which should help the five and a half month wait until the next season.
Terminus, which means the end of the line, is where the rest for the prison groups are heading. McDermitt revealed that the place "seems to be the answer to everyone's prayers," but it's also the group is The Hunters from the comic book series. The cannibalistic group causes trouble for the prison groups, and the episode synopsis mentions a struggle to survive and lots of brutality. New character Gareth (Andrew J. West) will also appear and he doesn't appear to be friendly.
The finale title, "A," means that some answers will finally be revealed after a season full of unanswered questions. Terminus provides hope for the survivors and the signs reveal that anyone who arrives will survive, which is a good sign. However, several groups have yet to make it.
Rick, Carl and Michonne are still traveling and sneak peeks have revealed that they will be involved in an altercation in the woods with some unidentified people, who are most likely the marauders Daryl was being traveling with. Something bad is going to happen to Carl in the episode, just like in the comic books, and Rick will also be injured in the process. Joe, the leader of the group, is trying to track down Rick, since he killed one of the men in the house in the episode "Claimed." The pair will have a face off in the final episode of the season.
The season will also end on a cliffhanger, so fans will have to wait and find out what is in store for everyone in season five. The cast members will be returning to Atlanta in April to begin filming the sixteen episode fifth season, which is expected to begin airing in October on AMC.
