Last night (Wednesday January 2, 2013) AMC released the first official trailer for the second part of season 3 of “The Walking Dead.”
The midseason finale found Rick, Michone, Glenn and Maggie escaping The Governor and his men, but Daryl getting caught. The Governor told his followers that Daryl and his brother Merle were plotting against them and needed to be dealt with. We also learned that The Governor knows that Rick and his crew are living in the nearby prison.
This trailer, while short, is action packed. We see Andrea leading a zombie on a leash as she goes to the prison to speak to Rick and his group. We also see The Governor attacking the prison and questioning Andrea’s loyalties. In one part of the trailer we see Carl tell Rick that he should stop being the leader then it immediately cuts to Michone running through a field and beheading zombie with her sword. It looks like there is plenty of danger from zombies and humans alike.
Does Rick leave the group or step down as leader? Does Daryl survive? It looks like these are things we will have to wait until the second part of season 3 of “The Walking Dead” premiers on February 10, 2013
