Last year's "The Walking Dead" game won a few awards en route to being named Game of the Year at the Spike TV video game awards show. The praise the game has gotten is much deserved, the game is a great one and should be experienced by fans of the show and anyone that enjoys a good narrative in their games.
It's been well documented that Season 2 of "The Walking Dead" is in the works, and there's already word that fans will be getting something extra before the second season starts. Today confirmation came out from Telltale Games that the next season will launch in 2013, sometime in the fall.
"The current estimated release window for season two of The Walking Dead is for fall of this year, and thank all of our fans for your continued excitement for Telltale's series," said Telltale Games CEO Dan Connors.
Executive Producer Kevin Boyle talked to IGN about how season two will connect with the first season of the game: "Season two will read what you did in season one and that will tailor some of the things that happened in season two. They'll be a lot more social and in-between episode features for season two that definitely exploit what the new platforms have to offer."
Telltale Games plans to bring season two of "The Walking Dead" to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 along with the Playstation 4, but there's no word on when the game would launch on the PS4 or if the PS3 saves would carry over.
"The Walking Dead: Season Two" is expected to launch in the fall of 2013 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
