It has only been a few weeks since the unbelievable midseason finale of “The Walking Dead.” Fans are still reeling over the death of fan-favorite character Herschel Greene. On Dec. 29, Enstarz reported on how the Greene girls, Maggie and Beth are likely to respond according to show runner Scott Gimple.
The girls saw their father viciously cut down outside the prisoner fence by The Governor and there was nothing they or anyone else could do about it.
Gimple said of the loss, "It defines both of them into who they become and it affects them very deeply in this next half-season and beyond. Hershel's death, the loss of the prison, civilization and everything they built up -- this has all been taken away from them, and they are moving into very unchartered emotional waters."
The girls are also separated from one another and Maggie is separated from Glen. How all this loss and separation will affect them is going to be dramatic and even life-changing. What effect do you think Herschel’s death will have on Maggie and Beth? Share your thoughts in the comments.
“The Walking Dead” will return to AMC on Sunday, Feb. 4 at 8 p.m. Until then, please check back often for more updates, news and spoilers.
