With just a month left until the zombie television drama The Walking Dead returns, AMC released a new poster for the second half of the third season on Wednesday, Jan. 9. The ninth episode of season, "The Suicide King" will hopefully put an end to the cliffhanger from the midseason finale last month.
The new poster features the two main leaders of the show, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and The Governor (David Morrissey) facing forward. The Governor has a bandage over his eye due to the attack by Michonne (Danai Gurira) in the previous episode. The tagline "An Eye for an Eye" appears near the top and the only other text is the show logo with a date near the bottom.
The official plot synopsis for the rest of season three can be seen below:
With his group in tatters, his sanity in question, and his own son questioning his every move, Rick must somehow pull everyone together to face their greatest challenge -- The Governor. In order to survive, he must risk everything, including the group's very humanity.
Based on the comic books by Robert Kirkman, the series also stars Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, Steven Yeun, and Lauren Cohan. Check out the official website for photos, videos, games and more information about the series. The Walking Dead will return on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
