"The Walking Dead" has wrapped the first half of season four on AMC, and now fans are being teased about what is coming up next on the series when it returns from its mid-season break. On Tuesday, Dec. 3, Seriable shared new comments made by Scott Gimple about the second half of the season ahead.
What should fans expect when the show returns in February? They should expect a wildly different show. Gimple revealed that the show would have a different structure. He said the following, according to Seriable:
The back half of the season has a wildly different structure to it. It’s a very different set of stories, and it’s very unlike the first half of the season. I can’t say without giving stuff up, but it’s very different. The same story priorities apply; there’s a lot of character exploration but in a very different way. In some ways, the story moves quicker but in a really different manner.
He did reveal that fans would see the change in structure right away in episode nine, and episode 10 will demonstrate the difference even more clearly. A sneak peek shared by Seriable for the episodes to come focuses in on Carl as he tries to escape a group of walkers after he taunts them.
Fans should expect to see even larger episodes when this series returns. Andrew Lincoln spoke about the second half of the season, and he called the episodes ahead the 'boldest, bravest and most exciting this show has ever attempted.'
That makes it sound like the second half of season four should not be missed by fans. "The Walking Dead" will return to AMC on Feb. 8.
